Welcome to the website of KKB Kredi Kayıt Bürosu A.Ş. (hereinafter shortly referred to as “KKB” or the “Credit Bureau”). This section contains the policies relating to personal information you give, when you visit the web site. KKB undertakes to provide privacy of all member information, obtained or kept by it, within the framework of below mentioned basic rules.

Information security declaration, set forth in this page, is applicable to all web pages of KKB and provides information regarding keeping, protecting, processing the private information of persons, obtained during utilisation of offered contents, according to the legal regulations which we are subject to, and our activities relating thereto.  

Within the scope of activities required to be performed as an information sharing platform institution, it is the first priority of the Credit Bureau to provide security of all information within the scope of our systems, mainly the information relating to our members and other shareholders. All of said information security measures covers information flow of KKB in all its practices.

Protection, Use and Sharing of Personal Data

As set forth in article 73/4 of the Banking Law no.5411, KKB is a company established to provide exchange of all kinds of information and documents by and between credit institutions (deposit banks and participation banks) and financial institutions (institutions other than credit institutions and which are established to conduct insurance, private pension or capital markets activities or to conduct at least one of the activities specified in the Banking Law, and the development and investment banks and financial holding companies); and the institutions which are our members exchange with each other the credit information relating to their customers, according to the same article of said Law.

For the purpose of providing privacy of the information transferred through internet by users visiting its web pages, the Credit Bureau shall constantly update the encryption infrastructure within the framework of technological developments and shall implement the most reliable encryption methods accepted in the information technologies industry, on its systems. For the purpose of providing efficiency of security measures when obtaining your personal information from member banks or when transmitting and obtaining such information from/ to member banks, within the scope of activities of the Bureau, the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology shall be used and sensitive information shall be transmitted in encrypted form. SSL is a security protocol developed to provide security and confidentiality during information transfer on network. SSL provides decoding of transmitted information, definitely and only at correct address. Information shall be encrypted automatically, before being transmitted and may be decoded only by the correct recipient. Verification shall be made on both sides and the confidentially and integrirty of the transaction and information shall be protected thereby.

In our Internet Branch (Findeks) application which you may have access through our main page, online security is also provided by SSL encryption. Information on the web pages which require you to give commercial secrets such as a credit card number, conduct through the Internet Branch, is transmitted in the same manner as being encrypted by SSL technology.

For web applications offered to the members of the KKB and the TBB (Banks Association of Turkey) Risk Centre (shortly “RM”), established according to Additional Article 1 of the Banking Law no.5411, dynamic one-time password and double component identity authentication system are used.

KKB transfers all data kept by it under custody, through secure ways by means of the multilayer structure established by on application and system architecture side and keeps such data under protection by strong encryption standards in electronic environment.

If business relations are established with various institutions to receive support services, compliance by said firms, with the privacy policy and the terms and conditions of KKB is provided by confidentiality agreements or by confidentiality provisions set forth in the agreements and by additional security measures.

Access to member information by KKB personnel, is arranged based on the lowest authorisation level required to perform the work and the segregation of duties principle.

KKB shares the information obtained by it within the scope of above mentioned activities, only with member banks and official authorities within the scope of legal demands. Furthermore, in third person inquiries relating to corporate or individual members in real sector under the Findeks Brand Name, information shall be exchanges after obtaining consent of the inquired person/institution. Approval process may be carried out by KKB in two ways. First method is the process with preliminary approval. In this process, owner of the report may give preliminary approval to the person or institution demanding the report, by defining the Identification Number or Tax Number of the person or institution, with whom he/she wants the report to be exchanged, by using the Exchange Settings in the Findeks Membership System. And, the second method is implemented by, upon entering the Findeks membership system, responding positively to the verification SMS sent to the phone number of the report owner, by KKB from banks.


Everyone using our web site, whether member or not, shall be deemed to have accepted recording and processing in electronic environment, the data named as cookies, which do not contain any personal information and which are required for operation of our web site. Cookies are little text files, recorded by web pages to your computer and which assists in displaying of related web pages in best manner and correcting them. In the web sites of KKB, technologies which provides unification of information contained in cookies, with your personal user information or which detect your e-mail address, are not used. If you do not want the cookies to be kept, you may update the settings for the browser through which you have access to our web site, in a manner to prevent keeping the cookies.

Confidentiality and Security

Identity information and the password, used to have access to the internet branch, are confidential information and they must be shared with other persons. KKB shall not have any responsibility directly or indirectly due to its failures regarding issues such as the security of said information, keeping it, preventing third persons to have access to said information, utilisation thereof, etc. Member user agree that they shall personally and solely be responsible for security of such information; that KKB shall not have any responsibility due to use of said information by any person other than a member user; that in case of any change in said information, he/she shall make necessary rectification.

Limitation of Liability

Accuracy of the information declared by the member to KKB, shall be under responsibility of the member. KKB assumes that such information belongs to the members and is accurate.

KKB and/or its employees may not be held liable for any loss and damage, including but not limited to direct or indirect losses, damages and costs which occur as a result of any performance failure, error, deficiency, interruption, defect, delay in operation and/or transportation, computer virus and/or line and/or system failure during utilisation of the web site of KKB.

Information given in this web site, is provided “as is”, “as available”. KKB does not guarantee the accuracy, sufficiency and completeness of such information and explicitly disclaims any responsibility due to errors or deficiencies in said information. It gives no warranty implicitly, explicitly or legally, including but not limited warrantees in connection with not breaching rights of third parties by said information; ownership, saleability, fitness for a certain purpose and/or being free of any computer virus.

Risks relating to web sites to which connections are given from this web site and risks relating to connections to other web sites, shall be borne by the user.
