Credit Reference System (CRS)

"The Biggest Data Sharing System For The Financial Sector of Turkey"

Credit Reference System(CRS) is an Information Sharing System developed by KKB in line with its objective of foundation where members can share information concerning personal credit operations.

  • The service provided through CRS by KKB is aimed at offering KKB Members simple access to a comprehensive database of consumer related information to be used in the assesment of consumer credit worthiness and related credit granting purposes.
  • CRS returns all information extracted from the CRS Database for the applicant (consumer) being searched, enabling the credit risk of all parties to be assessed.
  • Data provided by CRS is not a 'negative list'. KKB provides both, positive and negative data. It is designed to provide a comprehensive picture of the customer so that the Member's credit portfolio can be expanded profitably.
  • Sharing information through CRS allows the lenders (members of KKB) to review individuals' credit records to determine what previous enquiries have been made on that individual and their payment history.
  • CRS highlights slow or erratic payments, arrears and non-payment, enabling members to distinguish more readily between erratic or forgetful payers who represent no real credit risk and those who are likely payment defaulters.
  • Data contributed by KKB Members gradually builds the CRS Database, making it increasingly predictive as time goes on.
  • CRS manages information, but the data records as contributed by the members are not altered in any way.
  • The information provided is in a format which could be easily incorporated into the existing systems and procedures of the users.
  • KKB has over 116 million account records in the CRS Database.
